5. Three Common Pain Points in Curved Glass Procurement
Dimension limitation: Flat glass is only restricted by one dimension, while curved glass needs bi-directional calculation of arc length and panel width. The available processing range shrinks after superposition. Quotation with only one dimension is incomplete. We calculate both directions and confirm partition layout before arc design.
Matching of radius and panel size: Small-radius curved tempered glass has narrow process window. Smaller radius means limited available panel size. Both factors must be checked together. Early feedback will avoid delays in design approval.
Quotation for edge & special processing: Edge grinding, hole drilling and slotting are standard processes for curved glass. These items shall be listed separately in quotation. Unit price without breakdown tends to cause extra charges and poor comparability among manufacturers.
