Engineering Glass: Drawing Review and Deliverable Commitments 2. Complex Glass Processing: Detail Checks Before Production

    2026-10-04

Xunyu Glass supplies engineered glass from processing through delivery. This page explains our approach to drawing review, lead-time commitments and long-term cooperation.

    1. Capacity

    • Normal bending: minimum radius 300 mm.

    • Shaped bending: minimum radius 350 mm.

    • Maximum unit along the arc direction: 8 m.

    • Panel size: up to 4.8m×8m.

    • Laminated (SGP) finished size: up to 4.2m×7m, limited by autoclave capacity.

    • Thickness range: 5-19 mm.

    2. Drawing review for complex work

Glass with drilled holes, cut-outs, shaped outlines or lamination cannot be ordered by length and width alone. Hole positions, orientation, notch positions and site requirements are all confirmed before production.

Our practice: cold processing comes first — shaped cutting, edge grinding, drilling and chamfering are completed before forming, and hole positions are re-located on the panel or arc per the drawing. Site requirements are confirmed at order stage. The aim is to catch rework risks before shipment, not after the glass reaches the site.

    3. Lead-time and commitment boundary

Rush orders are accepted, but a lead time is committed only after three checks: whether drawings are confirmed, dimensions and processing details, and the production schedule. Once confirmed, production is scheduled against project milestones with slots locked in advance, and furnace time is confirmed in writing before production starts. What we can deliver we deliver; what we cannot we state up front.

    4. Quotation and risk review

We do not compete on price-cutting. Quotation is per square metre plus a process difficulty factor, with moulding and shaped processing listed item by item. Before quoting we review the project: drawing issues, configuration fit, lead-time feasibility, transport and site arrangements. Risks are surfaced first, then an executable plan is given.

    5. Long-term cooperation

Long-term cooperation rests on consistent delivery. Delivery standards, lead-time definitions and the contact person stay fixed, so repeat orders do not require re-alignment. For long-term supply needs, send the project details and we will clarify the working model and delivery cycle.

    6. Three checks worth asking any supplier

    • Whether hole positions, orientation, notches and site requirements are confirmed item by item before production.

    • Whether a lead time is committed only after drawings, details and scheduling are checked.

    • Whether moulding and shaped processing are itemised in the quotation, not hidden in one area price.
