Specificationandprocess

Theprocessrouterunsfromcutting,edgegrindinganddrillingthroughbending,tempering,laminationandshapedforming,completedononelinewithoutoutsourcingsteps.FlatnessandwavedistortionarecontrolledwithintherangessetbyChinesenationalstandards;nonumerictoleranceispromised,andfinalrequirementsareagreedintheorderanddrawings.

Processcontrol—fouractionsthatrunthrougheveryorder

1.Formingreview.Bendingandtemperingparametersarederivedfromthedrawings,andareaswithhighdeformationriskareflagged.Thishappensatthedeep-designstage.Whatyougain:problemssurfacebeforesteeliscut,notafterglassismade.

2.Per-orderparametersetting.Zonetemperatures,coolingpressure,laminationcurvesandformingtemperaturesarere-setfortheactualcurvatureofeachorder.Thishappensbeforeeachproductionrun.Whatyougain:theparametersmatchthepartsyouactuallyordered,notagenerictemplate.

3.First-piececheck.Oneunitisproducedandcheckedbeforethebatchisreleased.Thishappensbeforebatchproductionstarts.Whatyougain:batchriskisabsorbedbyasinglepieceinsteadofawholerun—andnoreworkpushingyourschedule.

4.In-processsampling.Parameterdriftismonitoredcontinuouslythroughtherunandcorrectedoncedetected.Thishappensthroughoutthebatch.Whatyougain:consistencyholdsfromthefirstunittothelast.

5.Oversizedpanelsandone-pieceforming.Largepanelsaccumulatemoreheat-induceddeformationduringprocessing,sothepanelsizeaprocessorcanhandleisboundedbythefurnaceworkingrange.Whenthatceilingisreached,theelevationhastobesplitintomorepieces—andmorepiecesmeansmoreseams,eachoneaddingtotheaccumulateddeviation.Thisisdecidedatthedesignandformingstages.Whatyougain:theelevationkeepsthecompletenessitwasdesignedfor,insteadofbeingcutuptofitafurnace.

6.Scheduleprotectionagainstrework.Leadtimesarenormallyquotedonastandardyieldassumption.Ifonebatchfails,theconsequenceisnotafewextrapieces—itmeansreschedulingproduction,re-runningthefurnaceandre-bookingtransport,withraw-glassleadtimeinbetween.Thatiswhereseconddelayscomefrom.Thefirst-piececheckandin-processsamplingdescribedabovearewhatkeepitfromhappening.Thisrunsfrombatchstartthroughtoshipment.Whatyougain:thedeliverydateyouwerequotedstaysrealistic.

Twocommonfailuremodestheseactionstarget:distortionandhazinessinthereflectionofcurvedsurfaces,causedbyunevencoolingratesacrossdifferingcurvatures;andlaminationdefects—bubbles,delaminationandedgehaziness—causedbypresscurvesthatdonotmatchtheactualcurvatureofthebatch.
